IOS - Windy does not actually request location

I am using IOS, Iphone 12 Pro, latest app, latest IOS.
When not on a cellular network, Windy is not able to determine location most of the time. I can see that it is not even requesting the location from IOS because other apps, like Garmin Navionics, Gaia GPS, and Google maps, they cause a location icon to appear at the top of the screen. This does not happen with Windy.
I have tried setting/resetting permissions, including precise/all the time for Windy with no luck.
Steps to Reproduce:
Turn off cellular data
Close All Apps
Open Windy
Attempt to find location -
@Kevin-Connell May I ask what version of Windy.com exactly do you use on your device? You can find that info at the bottom of the menu.
