Accurate Temperature

The application is saying Slidell, Louisiana is 44° the local weather application and my outside thermometer are reading 38°? Why the differences in temperature and it isn't just at my location but others as well. This could be a math translation error?

Windy displays temperature forecast not measured temperature unless you take it from a weather station shown by Reported temperature in Windy POIs.

Is your outside thermometer really a good reference ? There are many personal weather station (pws) displayed in Windy, so you can compare your own temperature reports.

Which weather model do you use? If it is the default model with a 9km resolution it could be influenced by the nearby sea. Better to use a high resolution model like HRRR.

Comparison with the wx station of the local airport shows that METEOBLUE is the model giving the lower error. But this model is only available in the local forecast table.
