Timeline INCREMENTS

About TWO YEARS AGO suggested adding a function, like a dedicated bar or buttons, where I could FAST FOWARD the timeline slide by INCREMENTS from ANY HOUR of, say, 24 hours, 12 hours, 6 hours and 3 hours - this particular example would take four buttons, then. I am wondering if it is THAT DIFFICULT TO DO, or my post went unnoticed. I'd hate to think that I was ignored, because it seems a SIMPLE FUNCTION, yet very, very useful. Let me know what you think.. anybody :)
