      I notice that the forecast rain accumulation totals for a specific location differs dependending on the level of zoom applied to the map, all oothe factors constant.         Yes, This behavior is common in many weather visualization tools. For the most accurate forecast for a given location, it is best to rely on the most zoomed view available or examine specific point data directly from the model source.
