      Hi there,

      I’m a pilot in North America and I really am enjoying using this Windy app.

      Just a little feedback on my perspective if you guys are considering relocating the altitude selector bar on the Wind section.

      The reason being;
      There are quite a few times where a turbulence is associated with sudden wind change as we climb so I always check what’s the upper wind is like through our climb profile before departure. But current UI of mobile app is not really friendly for doing such as I have to go back and forth to load different altitude from collapsible menu bar.

      My suggestion is in the photo I uploaded.

      Thanks for the consideration

        @dALre Hello, unfortunately, this is not possible for now, since some devices have much less space in this section than other. Also we offer widgets on the startup page that cover this section as well. But I will discuss it with colleagues.

          I don't know much about the distance and planning feature. Can you cycle through the different models after plotting a route?

          This could maybe help @dALre as they could plan a route, select the Airgram and check out the winds while cycling through all the available models. But it's only really helpful if there is a quick way to select different models while in the Airgram screen.

            Yes, @dALre could use this feature that allows to know the wind forecast at different levels along a route, switching between VFR, IFR, Airgram. But it is only based on ECMWF forecasts.
            I’m not a pilot, but I would find difficult to read the different levels during the flight.

              Will this ever change you think? I didn't realize until your post that it was only based on ECMWF.

                I don’t know, I’m not in the know. And I don’t remember that a user has requested it.

                  Two requests:

                  1. develop better way to analyze wind with altitude adjustment, while analyzing layer on map.
                  • when you press the altitude slider, it covers most of the screen on mobile and that can be inconvenient when trying to analyze wind patterns with height on the map.
