kml route truncated and disapears when scrolling the map
-
new bug : my kml route is truncated, about 20% of the points are displayed.. and all disapear when i scroll the map, and reappear (not all but same first points) when i scroll back to the origin of the route.

@Stéphane-Dirand
Do you mean that you imported a KML file to plot a route in the Route planner ?
Could you show a screenshot of this route ? -
@idefix37 not in route planner, just open a kml file via the menu below planification.
yes i can make screenshot but where to add it here ?
-
export from zezo to gpx format and convert to kml format via gpsvizualizer.
As you can see in windy the route is not complete. if i scroll to the east, the route disapears after fews right scrolls. if i scroll back, the same part of the route is shown again.it was fine before the last update. ((as you imagine at least since the srart of Vendée Globe :)
- is is kml format fault ?
- is it a regression of windy ?
-
@Stéphane-Dirand after scrolling
view when just loading the file
-
@Stéphane-Dirand sorry, i check the file and it's not complete... so it's not windy bug . So, only the scrolling problem left
-
@Stéphane-Dirand said in kml route truncated and disapears when scrolling the map:

Why do you want to convert it in KML when the rendering is OK in GPX ?
-
@idefix37 i think the problem in windy is the same than the conversion to gpx or kml format from zezo.
the longitude is > 180 instead of having -360 to start to -180. it's not for gpx the good spec

kml or gpx disapaer in windy when i scroll and it's in the area of theses longitudes.
Why do you want to convert it in KML when the rendering is OK in GPX ?
the tooltip of the way point is not the same and in a kml file i can have several gpx routes to display in 1 file several routes to compare.

kml or gpx disapaer in windy when i scroll and it's in the area of theses longitudes.We know the problem in Windy when a track is crossing the antimeridian, longitude 180°.
the tooltip of the way point is not the same
I will check that.

Here is a kml file that I take from the Uploader, here shown in the wind layer.
And a gpx file also from the Uploader, but shown in the Route planner (Distance&planning) with wind layer.
You can get the date / time at waypoints if you set a speed and a start time.
By the way I don’t get the antimeridian glitch, but I know it is a common issue.
