There are some colors that I don't understand what they mean. An example is the blue polka dots when viewing the cloud forecast. It would be nice if there was a color code chart others than the color ban that is referenced to normally. Also there are a lot of acronyms that I don't understand so it would be nice if they were explained somewhere. And somewhere in the FAQs someone mentioned to go to "preferences" to personalize the colors for various temperature, pressure, etc. and I have no idea where to go to do this.

@naya Perhaps I can help a bit. Changing Color Codes can be found by first clicking the three horizontal bars in the upper right corner of the Windytv screen to reveal a Menu of various customization items. Next, click Settings, the first option. Near the bottom of the Settings Menu you can find Modify Layer Colors. At the top of that menu is a drop down menu where you can choose the layer you want to modify. From that point on, you can spend hours trying out new combinations. If you mess things up, don't worry since you can reset the colors to default. I don't know about the polka dot thing. The National Weather Service has an extensive glossary of weather related words. You may be able to find help there.

When viewing cloud cover, the "dots field" is for rain.

            I don't have a "modify layers" option.

Weird. Let me do the steps again. Maybe you missed one.

              • In the upper right corner of the Windytv screen, press/click the three horizontal bars to reveal the menu

              • Next, press/click Settings...the first item listed

              • Look down the next menu about ¾ dozen the page and you can find Modify Layer Colors

              • Now enjoy changing the colors.

              Good luck!

Is there a way I can send you a picture of what my settings page looks like?

You can attach pictures to these messages. There is a row of formatting options when typing your message. Click the icon that looks like a cloud with and arrow pointing up on it.

Okay, so I did that and I was excited to see the options to take a picture or to use my photo library, but when I did, it closed the app and was reset when I opened it up again. It just keeps closing me out :(
