Airgram & Fronts
-
Hi, I've tried using Google to find information and old topics here but have had no luck so I thought I'd start a new topic.
In the Airgram on occasion in the Airgram you will see a colder layer 'pancaked' between layers of warmer air (see first attached screenshot below). In Ireland Met Eireann is our national weather forecaster and they tell us when a cold, warm or occluded front will pass so I assume this is what the Airgram was showing? Is there anyway of learning to read fronts through Windys Airgram?

I would say it is a temperature inversion. You can check it at same location by selecting Sounding forecast.
I think with a warm or cold front you would have a more vertical temperature change of the air mass.
