Why is Windy Premium cost going up 24% starting March 2025?
Inflation is globaly 5%, what justifies this severe price spike??
Electricity cost for just SQL database on servers cost nothing, weather algorithm are not made by Windy, interface does not change.
What extra service are we getting for 24% UP COST?

@windysbitch Hi, you are right that the inflation is not that high, but you also can know that we haven't changed the price since the beginning of the Premium plan. But in general, this is not the main reason for the price increasing and there is no single main one at all.
As you can know, we are completely ad free app, because we don't want to overwhelm our users with irrelevant ads in our app and our costs are not only these you mentioned. You are right that many data are not made by us directly, but they are not for free at all. Also we want to keep working on new features, getting new data (radars for new locations, new layers,...) and optimizing the app so our users can get the best we can offer. I could continue with mentioning more and more reasons why we decided this way.
However, if you still want to leave Windy.com, it is completely your decision and we respect that.
