Understanding wind indication

Hi.
New user here.
If I select the wind map and use the cursor on one area, it shows 22 kmh.
If I move it on the station just beside, it shows 35 km.
And the station tag shows 50 km.

I try to understand why those readings are different.

The weather picker on the wind map shows the wind speed at 25 km/h (and its direction) as predicted by your selected weather model (or by the default model).
While the weather station tag displays the wind speed at 32 km/h (and its direction) as reported by this weather station.

Observation and forecast are generally different, and forecasts by different models are not the same too.

By the way, hope you know you can set the wind speed in knots.
