Quantitative precipitation numbers consistently too high in meteogram
-
New premium user here so excuse me if there's something simple I'm missing.
When looking at the meteogram for my location, Snoqualmie Pass, WA, USA the precipitation numbers are always extremely high (to the point of impossibility) when compared to other forecasts.
According to the Windy meteogram we'll be receiving upwards of 8.00" of rain in the next 24 hours.
I'm confident this is not going to be the case as that would be a natural disaster.
For reference the NWS QPF chart shows us receiving 1.30"
What am I doing wrong here?

@sethwaterfall
Hi,
When in meteograms the amount of rain is displayed in light blue with IN in capital letters, it is snow and not rain.
It is easy to check it with the rain or snow symbols just above. -
@idefix37 I guess you're correct, however the the label is "Rain: in" which is much more useful than an estimate of snowfall in inches.

@sethwaterfall They should change it to "Precip" in my eyes
