Symbol explanation

Where do I find an explanation of the symbols; specifically I want to know what the airplane symbol means.

Have you tried to click on the plane symbol and played with it ? It is quite obvious that this Altitude slider is changing the forecast level to display wind, temperature, humidity… at different levels from ground to the top of atmosphere.
