Error in forecast temperature
-
Windy is consistently failing to give realistic overnight temperature forecasts for my location (Higher Brixham) and worryingly it is mis-reporting the UK Met Office forecast. e.g. the Met Office app is forecasting a minimum tonight of 0°C while Windy reports the Met Office forecast giving a minimum of 3°C. When we have experienced significant overnight frosts here NON of the forecast models, as reported by Windy, have predicted ANY frost. So, I have to conclude that there is a significant error in the way Windy is reporting data from ANY of the forecast models 🤔

@AlFly Is it possible that the Met Office App is providing data AFTER a meteorologist has analyzed it? Or is it providing straight up guidance model data like Windy is providing?
It would be helpful to include what guidance models you are comparing with and maybe even some pictures.
If there is an issue, then that type of information will be helpful to Windy's team. -
As @Wheats said

It would be helpful to include what guidance models you are comparing with and maybe even some pictures.Windy uses raw data from weather models such as the one of the Met Office. You know that this data is provided as a grid of points. As Brixham is by the sea, it is likely that some of these points are over sea and some are over land. Windy interpolates these temperatures to draw the temperature maps. At your specific location the minimum temperature in Windy will therefore be a little too high.
The Met Office in their app probably provides an non-interpolated temperature.
In Windy, you can compare the forecasts of the different models with a local weather station by using the Observation vs forecast feature. You can see that Meteoblue offers the most reliable temperature forecasts in Brixham (This model is non-gridded and cannot be used to draw maps). Check this model for the local temperature forecast.
