Wrong temperature

I don't know where you are getting your data but Squamish jan 22 5am is not -16C maybe -5C .
Also nearby Britannica Beach is probably not -14C and then who knows what else. -
@LHLH
What reported weather station are you looking at in order to compare actual data to guidance model outputs?
What models are you looking at in order to understand which model might be best for your area?
While a layer is selected, if you click the info button (or "about these data" in the app) YOU can see exactly where the data comes from. -
Now that I'm looking at this, does anyone know if the mobile app has something similar to this, found on the browser?
The ability to click on these and go right to the source of the data? -
@Wheats
No, these logos are not displayed in the mobile app, only on browser version. -

@Wheats
If @LHLH doesn’t provide more detail I guess he is only looking at the default model forecast.
He just need to understand that the ECMWF model is a global model with a resolution of 9km, not able to predict a correct temperature in Squamish surrounded by mountains.
He should use the Canadian HRDPS with 2.5km resolution.This model predicts 0°C at Squamish and 2°C at Britannia beach.

@Wheats
Because you know what these logos mean. In the mobile app, in addition the weather models available for a location are in the menu, not easy to access them. -

@Wheats
If he wants to make this kind of comparison…
FYI Meteoblue is the best model for predicting temperature at Squamish (but only available in the point forecast table).
And ECMWF and HRDPS would be the best for predicting the wind.
The comparison is against a personal weather station, may be not so good at reporting the wind speed. -
I just see there is an airport in Squamish with a weather station. The comparison is the same. The best model for temperature is Meteoblue and ECMWF and HRDPS for wind.
Meteoblue is really good in mountains and/ or on sea shore.
