Hello fellow humans, I've seen the suggestion about adding humidity to the tracking items. That's brilliant, and it may have saved some lives and allowed some people in LA to get out of the area in the absence of government warnings. And like the heading, were these fires predictable?

        Hi,
Windy offers a layer to assess the fire risk.
It is the Fire danger layer

See About these data in the menu of the mobile app or by clicking the small circled i in the bottom right corner of the web version.

In addition it is useful to consider the Wind accumulation layer that is the field of the max gusts predicted for the time frame you can choose.

Then it is also interesting to see the predicted relative humidity with the Humidity layer.

These layers allow you to assess the wildfire risk.
