<![CDATA[GPS - no location found]]>Hi

working with a USB-GPS mouse, the connection is established an you cann see the data comming in in the plugin, but there will be displayed

latitude "null"
longitude "null"

only.... the GPS data are lookinc good, which are displyed above.

Is there any idea?

I have made some updates to the plugin. The new link is:

You can use the “Install plugin from URL” feature to test it.

I’ll take a few days to test it myself and wait for feedback from different vessels before requesting official publication by the Developers.

I am having the exact same issue as @Myles-Powers. My stings start with $GP instead of $GN.

Hi Yan, I am trying to use Garmin Glo 2 portable GPS device, to give Windy my GPS location, Windy is being used on a windows computer. I have a similar issue to the previous guys, I can connect to the Garmin and the positions appears on the plug in however nothing else happens.

Yes, for the moment, the plugin only recognises $GNRMC frames. But, if you provide me with a sample of your $GPGLL frames, I can try to modify the plugin so that they are also recognised!

First of all, thank you for your plugin!

I have a similar issue, the plugin is giving me what seems to be the correct data string in the GPS data but doesn't it at the element level (latitude, longitude,...)

I think it's related to the fact that the text string that the GPS is giving starts with $GPGLL and not $GNRMC...

Is there a way to make it work? I'm using a USB GPS u-blox 7 and I don't think your other plugin (the TCP one) would be suitable.

Is the GPS connected to other software on the same computer? Does the text start with $GNRMC (it can be hard to see, sorry ;-))
I am making another plugin with TCP port, it might be an alternative for you... It will be tested on board in a few days, then I will give you the link and I will send it to Windy to be the first to be published.
