An idea to create some basic layers based on METEOBLUE forecast model
-
Hello! Thank you for always improving Windy! I'm well aware that the METEOBLUE forecast model in the detailed forecast panel is a non-gridded model. However, maybe the information reported for METEOBLUE in the Basic tab of the detailed forecast panel could still be used to create a few METEOBLUE map layers. Indeed, every point in the globe has a detailed METEOBLUE forecast, reporting temperature, precipitation (with type), wind and wind gusts. Now, in principle one could think of constructing a few layers (wind, wind gusts, temperature, rain/thunder + some derived ones, such as wind accumulation, rain accumulation, new snow, precipitation type), where for each location in the map one sees the corresponding value reported in the METEOBLUE detailed forecast panel.
In other words, these METEOBLUE based layers would serve as a graphical representation of the data present in the METEOBLUE detailed forecast panel. I think this graphical representation would be particularly useful to understand weather evolution and patterns. Could this be potentially implemented? -

Hi,
If it was possible why doesn't Meteoblue display weather maps with their own model in their website ? -
@idefix37 That's a very good question, I wasn't aware of the situation on the Meteoblue website. Thanks for pointing it out.
