Conflicting wind direction
-
Hi the windy app has conflicting wind direction for Mindarie marina in Western Australia for Saturday 8th February 2025 prior to 10am. Every other weather source is saying westerly wind direction, the windy app is showing and easterly wind direction (completely opposite). This is very dangerous to people who rely heavily upon this app for safety when boating. Where are you sourcing the weather information for this app from? This is not the first time I have had this issue with the windy premium app. If this continues without resolve i will be left with no option but to cancel my subscription and leave a review on the app store stating why. I look forward to your response. Thank you.

Hi, yes the different models that Windy displays show various wind directions for next Saturday morning. I don’t see any abnormal forecast 5 days ahead as all the models predict very light winds, probably with sea breeze phenomenon during the day. For safety when boating you should not rely only on 5-day weather forecasts ! You must check them the day before and the morning of the day itself.
You get a better overview by using Wind in the local forecast table.

The default weather model in Windy is the model of the ECMWF (European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts). But Windy offers other models specially Australian models from the BoM (ACCESS and ACCESS-C PH the local high resolution model for Perth area).
You never use them ? -
We may expect Dust(Min prevailing Visibility of 600M or below) over our region Some parts of “Northern Nigeria” especially Kano katsina Yobe Maiduguri etc on 6th, 7th & 8th Visibility improvement from 9th of February 2025.
By considering the intensification of SAHARAN HIGH PRESSURE CELL will core value 1032hpa and intensification of winds speed at the boundary layers both 10M & 925hpa (>30Kont)

@Suty
In my first screenshot, please note as already mentionned, the 1h-time discrepancy between the table and the arrow diagram. Same for Waves table
