Widget won't launch app (new)

Was working fine up until today. Not sure what's changed. Have uninstalled and reinstalled. Have restarted phone. Clicking widget will not launch app. Just gives a not responding error.
Can still launch manually using app icon. Help. -
@mcgon Hi, can you please provide more info? What widget has this issue? What version of Windy and iOS you have installed?

Have the same issue. Android, version of windy: 44.1.3

+1with beta.
Misbehaved immediately after app update. App opens and collapses if activation is attempted through any widget.
Error message on screen: this app has a bug, delete and wait for developer update.Have left beta. Standard version, 44.1.2, OK.

The same thing happens to me with the latest beta

I found the solution.
My phone just did some app updates and now windy widget works again and opens the app instantly. I checked the updates to see what fixed this. There was an update called "Android Device Policy". It was only available this morning, not yesterday. If you update it, the widget world again.

@verminal I also left beta! Widget still didn't work for me on standard. Updating the app "Android Device Policy" fixed the issue for me... ๐๐

Hi, colleague, responsible for Android app, already fixed the issue and it will be soon released in our Beta version.

Yeah I spoke too soon. Problem is back. Widget won't open app. I'll just wait for an update. :(

@MarkNagy not using beta anymore. So I'll need to wait and see when it's tested by others

Beta program is full, so can't rejoin and test.
Opening of the standard app from any widget is fine. No issues.

@mcgon I uninstalled and reverted to 44.1.2 which works correctly
