Windy in browser running very slow
-
Hello.
since a few days back windy has been working very slowly when loading and changing the time line and when loading the particles.
We have a fast internet connection and a good computer and i've tried removing all web browser extensions and deleting cache.is there anymore steps to take to get this working?
It started around 4 days ago -

I wonder if these are the same issue?

@Suty
Hello!
We are accessing it from a ship, mostly located in the baltic sea region via starlink connection.
browser is google chrome. -
I would also like to report problems.
In my case the Brave browser is having problems running Windy. Brave version 1.75.175 Chromium: 133.0.6943.54 (Official Build) (64-bit) running on Windows 10.
I have no problems on either Chrome (Version 133.0.6943.99 (Official Build) (64-bit)) or Firefox (135.0 (64-bit)) running on Windows 10.

Przeglądarka to Google Chrome, Windy od kilku dni otwiera się bardzo wolno albo wcale na laptopie, windows 10

@ortviken Do you have turned the graphic acceleration on in your browser? Can you check that?

-
wszystko ok., ale nie działa, strona otwiera się bardzo wolno lub wcale nie działa

@Suty Hello!
It was on but when i turned it off it feels like it got worse. -
I have been having the same problem. Windy stalls my browser, i get a browser "site is not working properly. wait?", laggy, unresponsive. macos 12 on macpro 5,1 12 core, latest chrome.

Hi, I am having the same problem Mac OS 12 and Chrome. Site is unusable.

@Ashley-Walker @ortviken @plexus Could you please test more browsers on your device?

Hi, was there any advancement on this as I seem to be having the same issue. Got a brand new PC I'm setting up to deploy to a vessel and the animations force the tab to run very slowly.
It's not the device itself, any other tabs or apps run quickly as normal.
If I turn off the particle animation it's fine, so it's definitely that.
I've tried Chrome, Edge and Brave. All have the same issue.
If I turn off hardware acceleration it's slightly worse.
It's a Dell Optiplex and it's fully up to date - a brand new Windows 11 installation.
I was testing around the western Med. Spain, Malta etc.
Thanks.
