It's too difficult to see changes in the wind barbs to quickly eye layers of shear. Either go back to a light background for the soundings or change the wind barbs to a more contrasting white color.

Preferably use a white background with black wind barbs, how it was, because wind barbs should be dark.

      Thanks

@ITPSwx1 Hello, thank you for reporting this visibility issue. We will most probably get the older background back.

@Suty Thank you, that would be excellent. I've found no other issues.

@Suty I am having the same problems currently. Most wind categories are extremely hard to see with a black background. If you email hwalker1492@gmail.com I can send you example shots.

            Thanks for any help!

I'd like to add to this that the cloud coverage is confusingly not inverted on the dark background.

On the sounding chart the cloud coverage on the left shows lighter for less cloud coverage, darker means more coverage. This made sense on the light background and was obvious to understand.

But on the dark background this makes it counterintuitive to read - lighter has contrast on the background, which let me think this means heavy coverage, but it's actually the mildest coverage.

I don't really like the dark background on the sounding chart, but if you stick with it, in my opinion the cloud coverage should either also be inverted in colour, or a different colour scheme used entirely with a key.

See on the screenshot - intuitively the heaviest coverage seems to be at around 800 and 950, but actually the heavy coverage is the dark part at 900 (which blends in with the background, seeming almost transparent)

Here's how this would look with the cloud key inverted:

And finally, here's how it would look with a colour (still monochrome) key altogether, where the cloud bar works as a single colour, only varying in opacity, which should work with both light or dark backgrounds, first on a dark background:

                  And on a light background:
