Cloud Layer Not Showing Rain/Snow

I know the previous version of model data typically had the type of precip overlayed the base cloud layer, but my current version just has clouds with no type of precip. Is this just a bug that is being worked on, or is this how the cloud layer will be going forward?

With the new v45 version, there is probably a bug and I get also the Clouds layer without precipitation displayed.
In Settings I turned off the Graphics compatibility mode and got the precipitation back on the Clouds layer. But as a result 2 of my custom color maps were changed to default colors.
