Distance Planning starting time Issue
-
Why is it when using the distance and planning feature the starting time always defaults to the current time instead of the proposed departure time which in this instance is 3 days later? Basically trying to track weather as I move along from the proposed starting date, not the current date/time.

Yes, it defaults to current time, but when you change the departure time with the slider on the timeline don’t you get the weather from this time / date?
Could you show a screenshot ? -
@idefix37
I have 2 screen shots. One setting the starting time as 0700 won Sat the second one after I have entered waypoints and pressed boat. Ideally as you are moving chart it should be moving/showing time at the location in this instance about 100nm should be showing being there at around 1.00pm and corresponding weather for that location. Does that make sense. And when I move the date/time chart the white dot showing position of the boat does not move.
I may not be articulating correctly but if you study send screen shots hopefully you’ll see what I mean.
I could be terribly wrong and there may a simple explanation/solution. At the end of the day I could do it manually but that’s not the point, I don’t think. Thank you for responding tried to upload screenshots got to 2% upload but no further -
@Nostos003
We can’t see your screenshots.
How did you upload them ?
Here is the right way to do it:
1 On phone you might need to swipe these button to the left to make the RH ones visible.
2 Click on this button to add a screenshotI may not be articulating correctly but if you study send screen shots hopefully you’ll see what I mean.
I don't quite understand what you mean. But there are some basic things you might not be doing.
- You need to specify the expected speed of the boat and enable "Speed".
- To change the time during the trip, the boat position and the weather map, you should NOT move the panel but TAP/CLICK on it.
