When are 15 day forecasts coming?
-
The desktop version of Windy has had 15-day ECMWF and GFS forecasts for the rain and wind accumulation layers for a while now but the mobile app only goes out to 8 days (which is even shorter than the 10 days that it used to be).
When are you planning to make the 15 day forecasts available for the app to align with what that desktop version already has?

@Ken
The mobile app provide also 15-day forecasts for ECMWF and GFS. May be you need to update it. -

I even tried uninstalling and re-installing the app as well as logging out and logging back into my premium account but it still only shows up to 8 days for the rainfall and wind accumulation layers - see attached screenshot.
For reference, I'm using an iPhone 16 Pro with iOS 18.3.1

@Ken
Have you tried wind, temperature, rain .... layers? -

Have you tried wind, temperature, rain .... layers?@Gkikas-LGPZ I was referring to the rain and wind accumulation layers as per the below screenshots.
The desktop version of Windy has had 15-day forecasts for both of those layers for a while now but not the mobile app version.

The way the rain or wind accumulation is displayed in the browser version (with 2 sliders) is not possible on a small screen. It is used on iPad with the mobile app because it has a larger screen.
Then a 15-day forecast has very low reliability at a local scale. This is not such a big shortcoming.By the way, when you say
I was referring to the accumulation layers of rain and wind as in the screenshots below.
No, in your first message you were not referring to these layers and you modified some of your posts later.

@idefix37 not being able to have two sliders on a small screen is understandable. But is there a way to at least add a 15-day option at the bottom that we can tap on (in addition to the existing 12hrs, 24hrs, 2 days, 4 days, and 8 days option?
I fully realise a 15-day forecast period has lower accuracy but if you consider the accuracy that low, why even have it on the desktop version in the first place then?
I would've thought the whole point of having an app and website like Windy was to show the raw forecasts from the models, even though it's well known that accuracy is significantly lower beyond about 5 days. Hence why so many weather websites out there show model forecasts out to their full forecast length,
As for my 1st post, I edited it to say "accumulation" to make it clearer and avoid any confusion.
I also said "accumulation" in my 2nd post (my initial reply to your post) which I didn't edit at all if I recall correctly. There's no edit history to that post that I can see. Refer to above screenshot.
I edited my subsequent posts to make them clearer.
