      The snow height overlay appears to be inaccurate in certain regions. A clear example is in the Abruzzo region of Italy, particularly in the Gran Sasso group, where the displayed snow depth does not match actual conditions. Could you check and clarify how the data is sourced and updated?

        @franztrimmel

        First, what model do you use ?
        If you use the default model in Windy, i.e. that of ECMWF, its resolution of 9km cannot give an accurate information in mountains. Resolution of the model is the data grid spacing, like in photography, a poor resolution cannot give a nice picture.
        For snow depth use the ICON-D2 model with a 2.2km resolution

        For other parameters like temperature, use AROME-HD (unfortunately not available for snow depth).

        AROME-HD 1.3km resolution with customised temperature color scale
