@Suty Hello, yes since yestarday, there is no image in satellite views (clouds, etc). Hope fix it quickly. Regards from Peru.

This is the second time in the last couple of months this has happened on Windy. If I remember correctly last time it was several days before the service returned to normal.
It's not a satellite problem because services such as Weather & Radar still have images as does Meteored.
-
@theaudiman I am kind of curious why this keeps happening. Seems... fragile.
-
I don't think Windy should be relying on getting any data from the US Fed Govt at this point. The current administration is not interested in sharing data. As the saying goes, "nothing to see here, move along". I would suggest finding another source for the imaging data. It's truly a said moment for science.

This is a very important resource, especially for those who live in regions with a high rate of weather events, such as Santa Catarina, a state in the South of Brazil. At the moment, we have some alerts in effect and the satellite images help a lot to understand, beyond the radar, whether the situation is improving or not.
I hope they find the cause, good work to everyone and thanks for the APP.

@Suty Not just the recent outage. Sat. data has been sporadic the past week or more.

@Suty I agree, same issue.
-
Resolved earlier but looks like its back out. No satellite data appearing under any bands
-
@dwags116 For a while one frame was available for some minutes like a screenshot, never got updated until it disappeared again.
-
@Roland-Teague There's no evidence whatsoever the administration doesn't want to share weather data. It appears to be a technical issue, not an administrative one.
-
@Bigfootbuilt is the strike of NOAA and NASA
-
The information seems to be available. So not sure why not in Windy
-
Thank you
Important for our work
:)

There is a major storm starting tomorrow going into the weekend over North America, would be good to get this footage back. I know you are working hard on it. Probably some failed hadoop job.

Hello everyone, unfortunately we are not getting data from our source and we are working on other potential solutions and investigating the issue further. We are aware that there are other sources, but at the moment, our infrastructure is not set to handle these.
We appreciate your patience, this issue has the highest priority on our end.
