Map barely visible in landscape view
-
Something I would love to see improved is how much of the screen is visible in landscape vs portrait view. For surfing it's important to get an ocean-wide perspective. It helps to see how storms track off of Asia, Japan, and the Aleutians and how they continue across the Pacific. However, when my phone is oriented in landscape (vs portrait) most of the map is covered by the drop down menu at the top of the screen and the date and time along with the scale at the very bottom. ~50% of the map gets covered. Keeping each of the menus(?)/popups shrunk would be a huge improvement.

@pat96714 Hi, in the past, we were not interested in offering the landscape mode at all, because as you said, there is an issue to offer the map together with UI. But we decided to allow this because of many requests from users.
However, we won't do any changes regarding this. -

Only the date and timeline remain on the screen. You can remove the top banner by clicking the small cross, then dragging the map with two fingers to prevent it from reappearing. (This works on iPhone, but I don't know about other phones.)
