HTML not being rendered when contained within a GPX or KML file

In a GPX file with a tag that has the format like:
or is a KML file with a tag like this:
The HTML does not render in Windy when the popup appears. It will simply show "This is bold"
Google Earth, for example, renders the html within the CDATA properly along with other readers.
Could basic HTML support for GPX and KML files be included to better match the specification?
