Inaccuracy in remembering position

I know this may sound picky, but I cannot for the life of me understand why the 'weather picker' never returns to the position where I had it (my 'Home', one of my 'Favorites'), when I reload the page. I literally ALWAYS have to drag it back, up to 1 km. Does it matter? Yes, I'm on a ridge where 1 km make an awful lot of difference.
I can only imagine this is a problem of 'snapping' to an imprecisely cached position.
What I'm asking is not the obvious: 'Can I simply attach it to my 'Favorite' marker. I can imagine that would require quite a bit of programming, but that would be what you really shuld enable, because that's a very very logical thing to have.
Poor man's solution: my guess is all you need to do is store the position as a 'snapped' coordinate, and then add another coordinate with the delta from that position. One extra variable. So much less annoying ...
