      Hello Windy Team,

I’d like to propose a new feature: real-time weather alerts based on radar and satellite data, similar to apps like RainViewer and MinuteCast.

Currently, Windy’s alert system relies mostly on weather model forecasts, which are great for planning but not ideal for immediate warnings. Real-time alerts triggered by live radar or satellite data (e.g., incoming storms, heavy rain, lightning) would greatly enhance Windy’s usefulness, especially for short-term severe weather monitoring.

This feature would allow users to receive instant notifications when radar or satellite detects dangerous weather nearby—without needing to manually configure model-based thresholds.

      Thanks for considering this improvement!

      Best regards
