The ADFD is a gridded dataset based on multiple global and regional models but also edited by forecasters at BoM. Its similar to the US National Digital Forecast Database and some of the same tools (Graphical Forecast Editor) are used.</p>

<p dir="auto">I'd love to see the ADFD data in the the Windy "Compare forecasts" and "Observation v forecast" features!</p>

(though its nowhere near as good as WIndy!!).</p>

There's now a <strong>single Australian national grid at ~5km resolution</strong>.</p>
<p dir="auto">Theoretically the ADFD should be better quality than raw model output.</p>
<p dir="auto">Reckon Windy should give it some thought!</p>

For Australia, ACCESS (~12km resolution) and ACCESS-C (~1.5km resolution) forecasts are available.</p>
