bug versione 45.1.3 on Android
-
Hi and thank you for the wonderful app.
The version 45.1.3 recently released for android has a problem: the bottom bar is immutable due to the fact that the android bottom bar is overlapped. That makes impossible to switch weather model or visualization of the forecast.
I'm running windy on android version 9 on a Samsung galaxy note 8.Hope you will fix it soon.
Best regards,
Dario Sestero -
@dsestero Hi, we are aware of that and the fix should be out as soon as possible. We are sorry for this and thank you for your patience.

You should rollback to old version, due to un-usability instead of saying things like "fixing as soon as possble", its rude to the users, especially premium users. And is a normal software development procedure in case of critical bug (of which, this is one of them)...
tl;dr if one has this bug, install previous version (45.0.6) from apkmirror

@Lukasz-St Please try to change the navigation mode of your device to gestures and then back to buttons, it should solve the issue for now.
-
@Suty the app is also very unstable. A lot of crashes with this bottom bar also.
-
@grendy hi. Can you specify your device and android version, please? Thank you.
-
@MarkNagy samsung galaxy s24 ultra and android 15. I think the bottom navigation bar and the crashes all happened right after android 14-->15 update a couple of weeks ago. Havent followed Windy app updates and versions so i dont know if the app updated at the same time or is it Android/One UI update thats causing this.
And i see the bottom bar is now fixed, crashes still happen a lot. Very soon after i start the app and scroll the timeline for example. Doesnt crash like "the app has crashed" or its not responding but it just closes itself in the middle of use...with no information or anything.

@grendy Thanks for the insight. I will try to search for crash logs based on your device. One more thing - did you try to reinstall the application?
-
@grendy One more question - do you have a wear OS device? I was looking into the crash logs and I found a specific crash which could be responsible for your issue, however it seems to be a specific issue when the application is trying to sync data with a wear device.

@MarkNagy no to both of your questions, but will re-install it right away :)
-
@MarkNagy I think the re-installndid the job! No crashes for many days. Thanks :)

@grendy No problem. I am glad it worked! :)
