It works, but it's wonky. Pinch slowly and hold for a sec, thinking when you 'let go', it'll stay as depicted doesn't work, it moves to a slightly different center and / or a slightly different zoom.

That's right, every time you let go of your hand without holding it, it returns to its original state.
