Can we expect more navigational possibillities for aviation?
In combination with your tracklines, distance and wind there are numerous options for flighttime and heading calculations or fuel used etc.

Could someone tell me what data is shown for the current time? Is it what was predicted by forecast for the current time or based on actual. From my observations I think the current situation is based on forecast data but I would appreciate confirmation.

The data predicted by forecast model.
If you want to see the actual data as observed by weather stations (mainly at airports), you have to click here:
After then, by clicking on a reporting station, you can have observations up to 20 days ago.
