@ivo How can we pay you for this excellent App?
@covermaker You sound like a developer to start seeding the idea of selling your app. Americans...
I hope windy will became a non-profit organization,
like Wikipedia or OpenStreetMap.
As someone said:
"Not everything is for sale; not everything is about money."
I just came across your site and app and I have to say I am mindblown.
I am a flight instructor business leader and have a few ideas.
Contact me and can share some thoughts.
We are using your app constantly for paragliding in Jamaica. Great tool and best forecast. Thank you for all the great work.
-This app is beautiful, complet and so many details. Hat off!!!!
I recently (2 months ago) discovered the windy app and I just love it!
I have been sailing in the Canary Islands (have been sailing in Northern Europe fo many years) for a year and stryggled with the wind never corresponded to other prognoses. But since I discovered windy the winds and waves never hardly give give me a surprise anymore.
You say you have not found a business model yet. I think that is the beauty of your work. You can be your own master.
I beleive there are millions of people like myself who would be more than happy to make a small donation, like crowdfunding. Have you thought of that? Maybe there is a set up for that already?
Keep up the good work!
Lots of love from me ❤❤❤
@csabatatar Hi! I have recently update my windity app, and i notices that on the previous version I could read clouds altitudes in feets or meters. On the new version i dont know where to configure this so as to read it in feets.
Windy seems to be the best app right now. I used the Storm, but I already uninstalled it and only use Windy, which has everything I need. Congratulations!
Hi Ivo and team. Amazing work. So useful. Could you possibly provide the healthy ranges for 'co concentrations'? Can't find it on Google and usually the ranges are offered using "ppm". Many thanks!
Strange that you find nothing via Google, I’ve found several articles on the web. Here is a good article from the Poison Control Centre of Belgium, but in french:
Sure you will find a way to translate it in your native language. A little exercise is good for your brain !!
For me the best wind application - Thank You!
1 ppm = 1000 ppb
1 ppb = 1/1000 ppm
ppb is a unit of proportion equal to 1 part per billion,
and ppm is a unit of proportion equal to 1 part per million.
