@csabatatar Hi! I have recently update my windity app, and i notices that on the previous version I could read clouds altitudes in feets or meters. On the new version i dont know where to configure this so as to read it in feets.
      Thank you!
      Victor

Windy seems to be the best app right now. I used the Storm, but I already uninstalled it and only use Windy, which has everything I need. Congratulations!

Hi Ivo and team. Amazing work. So useful. Could you possibly provide the healthy ranges for 'co concentrations'? Can't find it on Google and usually the ranges are offered using "ppm". Many thanks!

Strange that you find nothing via Google, I’ve found several articles on the web. Here is a good article from the Poison Control Centre of Belgium, but in french:
              https://www.centreantipoisons.be/monoxyde-de-carbone/le-monoxyde-de-carbone-co-en-d-tail/quelles-sont-les-concentrations-toxiques-de
Sure you will find a way to translate it in your native language. A little exercise is good for your brain !!

                    1 ppm = 1000 ppb
                    1 ppb = 1/1000 ppm

ppb is a unit of proportion equal to 1 part per billion,
and ppm is a unit of proportion equal to 1 part per million.

Hi Ivo, in the Meteogram view instead of blank values in most spots could you just make the values (Temp - Dewpoint)/4.4 as otherwise us sailplane pilots have to sit there and calculate that for each. Or add a Cumulus-Cloudbase row beneath it (either is fine). Thanks for such a great site! - Michael Price

A great application. I have a technical question. I am monitoring the surface currents in a particular area off Key West in preparation for a future operation. When I am well zoomed in, I get one current value (e.g., 0.4 knots), but if I zoom farther out, the reading increases dramatically.

Can someone explain why this happens?

                              Thanks,

                              Curt

@cnewport The more you zoom in the more details you get. Value in map picker is loaded from the current zoom level.

@tz Got it thanks! I will check that out. I figured it had something to do with surface area averaging, etc.

I just installed and like the wind animation on startup. I played with overlays and now cannot get the original wind animation back. How do I do this? Is there a total reset option?

Hi Ivo love your app, I am a fishing guide in the west of Ireland, and fish some big lakes, your app has made fishing big waters so much safer, from strength to direction colour, blue being my favorite ,,, actually no wind , ironic thanks

I thought Canada was to the north of the US and Mexico to the south of the US, when I look at the reported weather going on right now in North Carolina, the wind directions showing north are pointing south and the wind showing south are pointed to the north. is this an error on windy.com?

No, this is not an error, the wind direction is reported from where it comes. A northerly wind blows from the North to the South. So even I you see the wind going to the south, it’s a North wind, the cardinal N direction or the 0º in azimuth.
