@tz Got it thanks! I will check that out. I figured it had something to do with surface area averaging, etc.

I just installed and like the wind animation on startup. I played with overlays and now cannot get the original wind animation back. How do I do this? Is there a total reset option?

Hi Ivo love your app, I am a fishing guide in the west of Ireland, and fish some big lakes, your app has made fishing big waters so much safer, from strength to direction colour, blue being my favorite ,,, actually no wind , ironic thanks

I thought Canada was to the north of the US and Mexico to the south of the US, when I look at the reported weather going on right now in North Carolina, the wind directions showing north are pointing south and the wind showing south are pointed to the north. is this an error on windy.com?

No, this is not an error, the wind direction is reported from where it comes. A northerly wind blows from the North to the South. So even I you see the wind going to the south, it’s a North wind, the cardinal N direction or the 0º in azimuth.

Right now in North Carolina, near Fayetteville, the predicted wind is ESE (110°) blowing from that direction pointing WNW. Reported wind is more Easterly wind pointing toward West.
                    I cannot see any trouble.

Dobrý den, chci se zeptat zdali by bylo možné zasílat na meil, nebo ukazovat předpověd přímo pro Předhradí.
Je to jižně 3km od Skutče. Děkuji

                        Ivo,
Great project! I would like to scale the charts my own needs.
e..g. I would like to chart winds between 7m/s and 15m/s and visualize them in the colours that I want or visualize only the winds I want...
e..g. I want a map of the Belgian coastline that shows winds from 7m/s to 20m/s
Looking forward to receive your feedback.
                        kind regards
                        Ludovic Claeys

                                    Wind speed(m/s) appears whole number(5m/s).
How can I change decimal point(5.8m/s).

My husband and I, Jeff and Kelly, are Addicted to Surfering from wind surfing to the body boarding. Kelly also loves to go yachting. We have found your app and it is a great app for all our needs on the Sunshine Coast, which is on the south east coast of Australia. We were just wanting to say well done as it suits all of needs and some. Finally someone got it right.
                                        Cheers Jeff and Kelly 🏄😊😊
