NO2 and ship tracking
-
a friend has suggested that it would be helpful if you could create an overlay of
shipping tracking, say from "Ship finder" with the NO2 map. Is that possible ? -
@thecloudwatcher
IMHO this isn't a good idea.
The NO2 layer visualizes the main routes used by maritime traffic.

Many ships use these routes. But imagine a low-NO2-emitting ship. If you saw it on one of these routes, would you conclude that it was a polluting ship?
No, the NO2 layer is not an instant picture as this gas may stay sometime at same place and the resolution is 40km. The resolution is far too low to prove whether a ship is polluting or not.
