For the last few weeks at least, the wind speed data is clearly wrong. All weather apps save for Windy (plus using my eyes by looking out of the window) shows the wind to be gale force and Windy shows it to be 5kt, it’s clearly wrong. Plus the same values are being displayed when I try the wind speed in various parts of the country which is unlikely.

You don’t say where you observe these wrong wind forecasts.
Could post a screenshot of the wind field as displayed in Windy ?
