Default Forecast Model

The chrome/browser workaround is a nice trick, but as others have mentioned, it doesn't impact the widget and means you're operating in a browser. Residing in a past of the world where the ECMWF forecast isn't as accurate as an alternative, it would really be really nice to establish a preferred model to work throughout the app and widget.
Thanks for a great product!

Echoing this request.
The default model is awful in my area, but meteoblue is great. Would happily keep my Pro subscription going if I could change the default for the Android app and widget.

@stuarthenderson Hello, thank you for feedback, we do take it into account.
-
@jack-thorgeirson Hello, we are constantly working on new features, Premium users may now set their default layer for instance. Default model is something we plan for the future as well.
-
@korina please add this feature also on iPhone app.
Would be great save all these settings into the account. Thanks
-
@korina When? We have been asking for this for years.

@tomjoyce1964 There is no certain date yet.

@korina hello, hope you take into account this feature soon, it's a bit annoying switching everytime from ECMWF to personal forecast choice.
It would be cool to hide some forecast model too.
Thanks.Indeed, this would be welcome :)
I think it's high time this option was available on Windy, at least for premium users at first. This is a really simple feature to implement, especially as similar options are already present in the app (position and start layer). -
@eseltwift Hello, you can already save default forecast model. Choose the layer and model you desire, then go to settings -> Start-up layer -> Start-up layer -> Use last overlay. This will save layer and selected model as your default.

Hello @korina, it was a bit hidden but it does work. Thanks a lot!
