Green Arrows with Windspeed on iphone app
-
My WIndy app has started to show green arrows on the map with a number inside. I think this is supposed to be current wind speed in real time. However, when I look at the forecast say four days out I still get the same arrows, which is not helpful if they are showing, for example, 12kts Westerly wind and the map is forecast 4kts from the East. its an unhelpful load of clutter. Nopt an improvement. How can I remove these green arrows please.

@Willsimp
If you mean these arrows, these are the wind forecasts, not the actual observed wind. They are a graphical view of the table below.
By the way, it's not possible to know current wind speeds everywhere in the world, only at weather stations. -
@idefix37 Thanks for responding. I mean the arrows in the attached picture, some of which seem to be blue today.

These are weather stations at sea. They can be weather buoys or ships transmitting weather measurements. So, yes they display the current wind.
When you select "Reported Wind", all types of weather stations are displayed, but you can choose the desired category. -
@idefix37 Thanks for the explanation. This is quite useful information when seeking information on the wind today, but not at all helpful when overlaid onto the forecast for, say, four days time. Is there any way of getting rid of these arrows?

@Willsimp
No this not possible to get rid of this WX information automatically. But you can do it manually. -
@idefix37 I think I just spotted that you have answered my question about getting rid of them!
