Chciałabym otrzymywać notyfikacje np. 30min przed tym jak wiatr w mojej okolicy zacznie wiać w konkretnym kierunku. Czy jest to możliwe? mieszkam niedaleko wysypiska śmieci i Chciałabym wiedzieć wcześniej aby móc zamknąć okna w mieszkaniu zanim wiatr zacznie wiać w moją stronę z nieprzyjemnym zapachem. Hello, you need to create an account at Windy.com to have the possibility to set your customised forecast alert - for your case please keep in mind, it is still forecasted wind and not the actual one.
In case you have an iPhone, I suggest setting the nearest weather station as your mobile widget (you will see real-time data) and enabling the forecast alert as well. I would suggest to use ECMWF or MBLUE as forecasting models.
Inside the Windy Premium account you can see the comparison of forecasts and which one is the best overall for your location.

@Suty i had the same problem as @seabee-0. 2 august 2025 15:45 St-Raymond, Québec, Canada a good storm drop 15mm in 30 minutes, i receive the Thunderstorm alert but i was 181 km (road distance not plane distance) away from St-Raymond wich is in my favorite.
Where i was, 1850 Rue de FontaineBleau, Drummondville, Qc, J2B8T7, there was no rain or thunderstorm close to me.
I was able to see me on your app on my phone at the correct location, GPS is set to Allowed GPS all the time. And i also receive an alert that look like "Heavy rain is coming", it was true for my favorite location St-Raymond but false for where i was.

@DanQcCa Hello, what mobile/OS are you using? We will try to investigate further. Live Alerts are currently unavailable for your favorites so that should not be the case. Were you moving on that day possibly leading to loss of internet connection? Thank you and have a nice day, Niki

Maybe my "new" location was not pass to the Alerts system. If the refresh of my location in the Alerts system is higher than 3h, the situation can be considered as ok
I will add that my Google Pixel Watch 3 was giving me the weather in your app V43.0.2 on my watch for St-Raymond but i was 181 km away! The exact location of the thunderstorm.
Even if i open Google Maps on my phone, open your Windy software V46.1.0 on my phone and my watch, alerte continue to enter for St-Raymond. I can see that your Google Maps and your App locate me correctly.
But the alert was for the location i was 3h and 181Km before.
Not a big problem, alert are not often, and it's a good things.

-Internet was not good at the destination but it was working.

I really like that new functionality. Thanks a lot
