              Hi,

When trying to activate Storm and Rain alerts on my Android smartphone, I receive the following error:

StormTracker Error: No device token available for notifications

              What does this exactly mean?

@johny3245 Hello, may I ask what version of WIndy you have installed? You can find this information at the bottom of the menu.

                  Hi,

When trying to activate Storm and Rain alerts on my Android smartphone, I receive the following error:

StormTracker Error: No device token available for notifications

                  What does this exactly mean?

I’m trying to enable push notifications for severe weather alerts on my Android phone, but every time I activate the option, I get this message:

WeatherAlert Error: Notification token could not be generated

The app has notification permissions enabled, battery optimization is disabled, and I’m using the latest version from Google Play.

Does anyone know what this error means? Is it related to Firebase, Android notification permissions, or something on the app server side?

                  Thanks.

Will it be same working accurately for India & it's sub-continent?

These alerts can be very useful for outdoor service businesses as well. We often need to monitor approaching storms and heavy rain before scheduling cleanup, hauling, or other outdoor work. Getting an early warning helps with planning and safety. Thanks to the Windy team for continuing to improve these features.

Hello @mishrana, yes, Live alerts should work in your region (simply check the Weather radar layer for radar coverage in your country).
Just for your information, the data come from your local radars' reflectivities; thus, the local operators are responsible for the final radar sensitivity and the data you can see. We don't possess or manage any weather radar. Have a great day, Niki

                                Niki
