What will be the impact on this App regarding potential cuts to federal funding affecting NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) weather satellites and their impact on Southeast Florida, particularly concerning hurricane forecasting?

Hi @Capt-Ralph, I'm personally very sorry about the cutbacks at NOAA, as the public may lose access to many valuable data sources. However, our application Windy.com will not be affected by these reductions.
The only possible impact might be a decrease in the accuracy of forecasts based on NOAA-operated models, such as GFS, NAM, or HRRR.
As a global application, we rely on a wide range of data from various meteorological institutions around the world, each using its own independent data sources.
Let’s hope the situation at NOAA is resolved soon. Jari
