      The correspondence between radar reflectivity (dBZ) and rain rate is wrong.
      Actually, it is saying that it is raining in areas where no drops are falling.

        This correspondence is not so bad as it is based on the same scale as this one from the NOAA

        But you may observe no rain in case of virga, precipitation that does not reach the ground due to evaporation.
