What forecast model is the best for Alaska?

      Thanks!

@wade1201 Hi, in general, it is more advantageous to use regional models, which capture terrain features in greater detail - for Alaska, for example, HRRR‑AK or NAM‑AK (both operated by NOAA). In contrast, global models have coarser resolution and therefore tend to average out and “smooth” the terrain, but they offer forecasts over a longer time period. You can get an idea of how accurate each model is by comparing its output with actual measurements from a weather station (for example, here). Have a nice day, Jari
