Weather conditions

I two months ago I purchased the Windy app to help me track current and future weather conditions, specifically wind conditions. I am extremely disappointed in the accuracy of this tool. As I write this, we have a storm going through with wind conditions exceeding 30 mph and have been in excess of 20 mph for the past hour. My Windy app is reporting current conditions as 10 mph. Yesterday I got in an uncomfortable situation on the water as the wind forecast on the Windy app called for 7-14 over the next hour with current conditions at 9 mph. The actual conditions were closer to 15-25 while I was being battered by whitecaps the entire way to the boat ramp. The actual reported conditions never showed more than 10 mph. I was excited to use this app but now I am to a point where I don’t want to consider using it. Perhaps I’m in a coverage hole but my experience has been extremely unreliable and disappointing.
