Charged twice for subscription

I subscribed, then logged in for the first time and received a message to contact Apple to receive a credit because they charged me and Paddle charged me. Not a good way to begin a paid subscription with an app.
Why should I have to take time to correct your mistake?

@tomsmith9944 Hello, I checked your account and your Premium in use is purchased via Paddle. Unfortunately, I can't check anything related to Apple purchases.
If you want, I can refund the purchase from Paddle for you. But you need to assign the Apple payment then, okay?
