Update cloud layer from sattelite pictures

In Greenland i often experience that the forecasted cloud layer is not updated or followed up with actual satellite pictures when comparing both functions it seems it is not aligned an there by the predictions/forecasts are often way off.
You should think that the models were based out of actual weather?

It is not easy to see where the clouds are over Greenland as the ground is covered in snow and can be mistaken for clouds, except along part of the coast.
Comparison with the cloud cover predicted by the models is not easy.
