I was watching a severe thunderstorm around McPherson, Kansas using the Weather radar view. (Windy Version 46.0.4 Pro)

I noticed some bluish arcs / circles on the edge of the storm. These were slowly increasing in size before fading out completely. Here is a screenshot of some around Hutchinson, Medora, Inman and south of McPherson. What are these?

Those blue circles show how the thunder (sound) spreads from a lightning.
Like the ripples when you throw a pebble in the water.
Those circles are "increasing in size" with the speed of sound in the air (approx. 1100ft/sec) and fade out after 10 to 20 miles (normally no thunder heard so far away).
